Andrew has been active in the outdoor industry since 2001, serving many roles including camp counselor, wilderness guide, activity specialist, and program director. With a degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Administration focusing in Outdoor Recreation from Western Illinois University, Andrew is passionate about helping use adventure education to provide growth and learning opportunities to individuals and groups.
Andrew joined S.T.E.P.S., Inc. in the Spring of 2008 as an adventure education facilitator. His experience working with staff and delivering high quality programs was apparent immediately. Beginning in the Fall of 2008, a position was created for Andrew to take advantage of his talent as a trainer and marketing specialist.
When not in the office developing training curriculum and helping to arrange training programs for teachers, social workers, and adventure programs, Andrew can be found in the field leading ropes courses and canopy tour trainings and helping to build challenge courses.
Some of Andrew's favorite things outside of work include cycling, sea kayaking, climbing, hiking, and being with Brooke his wife and Dudley their Boston Terrier.
